Camborne Town Council

Camborne Town Council is the local authority for Camborne Parish. Camborne is geographically the largest parish in Cornwall. The Council administers an area of approximately 2,800 hectares and nearly 23,000 people live within the boundaries which include the villages of Barripper, Beacon, Brea, Kehelland, Penponds and Troon. Camborne Town Council has active representation on Camborne Town Deal Board and is delivering one of the eight projects.

Cornwall Council (Cornish: Konsel Kernow) is the unitary authority for Cornwall in the United Kingdom. Cornwall Council provides a wide range of services to the approximately half a million people who live in Cornwall. It is responsible for services including: schools, social services, rubbish collection, roads, planning and more. Cornwall Council is the lead authority in the delivery of Camborne Town Deal.

Camborne Town Deal

Launched in November 2019, the Government’s Towns Fund Deal aims to regenerate high streets, boost businesses and improve infrastructure. Camborne is one of only four towns in Cornwall selected to participate and the board of volunteers are all working very hard to develop the eight projects that have been allocated a share of £23.7 million as part of the Camborne Town Deal.
